Fiji is an amazing destination to visit. The people are friendly and compared to other luxury destinations to travel too this one is not to bad price wise.
One great activity that we did in Fiji was a Jet Ski Safari!!! wow what an adventure.
Basically it was a 60km round trip on the jet ski to BEQA ISLAND an island known for its shark diving and exquisite snorkelling.
First stop was to a snorkelling stop out in a lagoon surrounded by deep blue ocean. As i was doing this after Bora Bora i was not too scared about the sharks - but in Bora Bora it was light blue water everywhere so you could see things coming for miles, unfortunately this was not the case in Fiji as the lagoon we snorkelled in was in the middle of the deep blue ocean. The snorkelling was great but i had been spoilt having been snorkelling in Bora Bora previously.
Next stop was to a island where around 50 local people inhabited and we were taken their as locals were guiding the expedition on the jet skis. This was an amazing experience with lots of local children playing in a make shift lake running through the small island making fun use of things like old milk cartons. We stopped for lunch here and then it was a long way back to the main island. The water began to get very choppy and i was afraid i would fall off the back of the jet ski!!! Unfortunately there were no photos to show this experience as my underwater camera broke the night before! :(:(:(!!!!! I m still regretting not buying the waterproof iPhone case.....I will not make this mistake again!
